Sunday School Schedule

Worship Services:

The 8:00am worship service is an informal service where the pastors create the order of worship and preach, the rest of the service is led by laity from the congregation.

The 9:30am worship service is characterized by contemporary music led by a praise team and the contemporary choir.

The 11:00am worship service is characterized by the rich liturgy and music that is a part of the traditional Christian worship experience.

Nursery Care: Nursery care is available every Sunday during the 9:30 and 11:00 Services in room 106, no reservations required. Nursery care is not available during the 8:00 service.

Sunday School: Sunday School for children ages 2 through high school is offered throughout the school year during the 9:30 and 11:00am services. (We offer Sunday school in the summer, but only during the 9:30am service.) Sunday school for adults is provided year round.

Weekday Nursery School: Provides an enrichment program of love, learning and fun (an extension of the home) for children 3 and 4 years old.

Bible Studies: We believe adult Christian education is important for everyone; and to that end, we offer a great variety of classes and studies.

Current Events: This webpage provides details of the events taking place at our church.

Headlines: This webpage provides various editorials, notices and articles written by members of the congregation.

Church Calendar: The Church Calendar shows all the activities, meetings, bible studies and events taking place at our church along with the time and room number.

Octagon Newsletter: Features articles written by our pastors and members to keep you informed on what's happening at Severna Park United Methodist church.

eNewsletter: A weekly newsletter sent to subscribers through email to highlight activities in the coming week(s).

Christian Fellowship:

Scouting: Troop 993 is extremely active and has activities of interest to almost everyone!  Whether it's hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, camping, or learning outdoor skills.

Super 6th: Nurtures youth in Grade 6 through a Sunday evening fellowship program, a lot like UMYF but not as overwhelming!

UMYF: United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is a ministry that provides a vital and dynamic way for teens, in grades 7 - 12, to grow in their Christian discipleship. While there are many exciting events that youth can participate in, our main emphasis is on building meaningful relationships with one another and with God.

UMW: The United Methodist Women (UMW) organization is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.

UMM: The United Methodist Men support the individual and collective spiritual growth of SPUMC members through exploring spiritual issues facing men.

Young Adults: The Young Adults Group (YAG) meet weekly to discuss the interests of young adults.  They participate in bible studies, mission projects and spiritual retreats.

Adult Fellowship Club: Groups of 10 -12 people who gather monthly for dinner, conversation, fellowship and fun in one another's home.

XYZ: Xtra Years of Zest (XYZ) is a fellowship club with luncheons and bus trips for those in their golden years or soon to be.

WNA: Treat your family to an inexpensive dinner and fellowship at SPUMC's Wednesday Night Alive.

Contact Us: Find out who to contact for more information about our many ministries and programs.

Mission Opportunities: Severna Park United Methodist Church participates in mission work in the community, in the country and throughout the world. This is done through Volunteers in Mission (VIM)Appalachia Service Project (ASP)Young Adults Group (YAG)Habitat for Humanity and Carpenters Kitchen.
