COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Communications Committee serves to share the good word about the life of Severna Park United Methodist Church to its members, friends and the community.  The committee is organized in teams which focus on various aspects of communications, yet collaborate to ensure information and news is available and timely.

We WELCOME YOU:

  • To join our committee as we endeavor to help others to come to faith, to grow in faith and to go out in faith to serve others

  • To write articles for our Octagon Newsletter and this website

  • To write articles for the News media

  • To video tape stories and events in the life of SPUMC

  • To develop a better website

Whatever your calling or skills, beginners and experts alike, we welcome you to join our committee.  All you have to do is contact anyone on the committee or e-mail us at communications@severnaparkumc.org
  

SUBMITTING ARTICLES FOR PUBLICATION:

We encourage you to submit articles for publication in the Octagon Newsletter,eNewsletter, Sunday bulletin and the SPUMC website.  The deadline for articles to the Octagon is published in the eNewsletter and the Octagon.  There is no deadline for articles to the website, they are published as received.

Articles can be submitted by e-mail to publications@severnaparkumc.org.  Attachments in MS Word, Publisher or PDF formats are acceptable.  Articles without the originators name and contact information will not be published.  Articles may be edited to fit available space.

Priority is given to articles directly related to Severna Park United Methodist Church activities, outreach and missions.  Other articles will be published only if deemed appropriate and if space is available.
