ROOM USAGE RULES

As Required By SPUMC Board of Trustees

Please read and initial after each bullet in space provided, and sign this form. Your initials signify that you have read and understand the Room Usage Rules. Your signature signifies that you take responsibility for the room used during your meeting time. 

·        Keys: Arrangements to get into the Church building and into your assigned room(s) must be made one week in advance with the Office Manager at the Church. Keys must be turned in immediately after room usage ceases. _____

 ·        Your group must use the room(s) that is assigned to you at your appointed time. Do not switch rooms or furniture. If you need to make a room change, the group leader must get approval, well in advance, from the Office Manager. _____

 ·        If your group is using the facility after office hours or on the weekend, you will be required to do your own clean-up of room(s) used. Clean up would include emptying trash, making sure floor is clean (sweep, mop, etc.), room is setup for Sunday School

 ·        If your group is going to have a change in leadership, please contact the Office Manager as soon as possible. It is very important that we have accurate and up-to-date information for each group including contact person, addresses, and phone numbers, in the event that you need to be contacted. A contact update form will be sent out periodically during the year to ensure the information on file is kept accurate. _____

 ·        If you need to rearrange the tables and chairs in the room, you may do so, but you must return the room to its original furniture placement upon leaving. _____

 ·        Upon completion of your meeting you should ensure that all windows are closed and locked, all trash should be placed in proper receptacles, the lights are turned off, and the door to the room is closed. _____

 ·        Be considerate when using vending machines. Please do not disturb any other group meeting nearby. If money is lost, leave a message in the hall office mailbox (outside Room 104) with name, phone, and amount lost. _____

 ·        Keep traffic in halls to a minimum. Other groups using the Church should not be disturbed by talking in the halls or other interruptions. _____

 ·        No smoking or use of alcoholic beverages in the building. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed on Church property. If you need to smoke, please do so only in your vehicle in the parking lot. _____

 ·        Any damage to the Church facilities will be the responsibility of the group/organization using those facilities. _____

 ·        Remember, this is a Church, and encourage proper behavior and respect when using any part of the building. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and could result in the revoking of an organization's right to use the Church facilities. Please maintain an attitude of reverence while in the Sanctuary. _____

 ·        Food/Drink is NOT allowed in the Parlor or Sanctuary. _____

 ·        Children must be supervised at all times. _____

 ·        Use of skateboards, rollerblades, skates, scooters, and bicycles in the church building and on church property is prohibited. _____
