CARPENTERS KITCHEN

Carpenter's Kitchen is a "soup kitchen", providing meals for 250-300 guests each Saturday night at Mt. Vernon UMC (across from Baltimore's Washington Monument).  SPUMC and other churches from the surrounding area help support this mission.

Several Saturdays each year, we prepare and serve a meal for Carpenter's Kitchen.  On these Saturdays we carpool from SPUMC at 1:30 pm and usually return by 6:30pm.

If you are not able to assist on that day, there are other opportunities to help with this hands-on mission project: browning ground beef, pre-cooking macaroni, supplying cookies and apples, etc.   The more hands, the easier the work.
