At Severna
Park United Methodist Church, we reach out beyond the
walls of the church building to help those in need.
Here are a sampling of opportunities to impact our local
community. Our Caring Ministries go beyond our
local community reaching out to the entire world as
shown on other web pages under our Caring Ministries.

Volunteers
provide meals to those in the congregation who need assistance during
times of illness or other crises.
Members of the Kindness Kitchen Ministry Team all agreed that the
grace of the ministry works both ways as many recalled how they were
blessed by taking a meal to someone.
If
you think you would like to be involved in this ministry, Lou would
love to hear from you.
The early church was known for sharing everything in those first
years after Jesus’ resurrection (Acts 4: 32-37). Although most of us
in modern America do not live in such communal ways, Kindness
Kitchen is one of the ways we “hold things in common” as we share
our time, resources, talents, love, and prayers. This ministry
testifies to Christ’s love in us shown forth in acts of
kindheartedness toward each other.
It's not necessary to be members of our church to receive this
service. Persons may request meals by contacting the church office
at 410-987-4700, by filling out a request form located at the
Welcome Center, or by contacting Rev. Martha Meredith.
If you would like to participate in the committee, need a
meal or know of someone who does, contact Rev. Martha
Meredith
