COUNSELING & SUPPORT GROUPS

Severna Park United Methodist Church hosts several counseling and support groups that meet at our church on a regular basis.  Here is a partial list of the services that are available through these groups:

• Pastoral Counseling Services of Maryland (PCSM)  Located at Severna Park United Methodist Church provides a broad range of counseling services ... more

• AA meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 am in room 208

• Al-Anon meet every Tuesday at noon

• Suicide Support Group (SOS)  No longer meet at Severna Park United Methodist Church,  They now meet at Woods Memorial church the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. Please contact Rev. Nancy Lincoln-Reynolds at Woods Church 410-647-2550.

• Board of Child Care meet Monday evenings at 6:00 pm

• Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD)  meet the second Tuesday of the month (September through June).  Children meet at 5:30 PM, adults at 7:00 PM

• Stephen Ministries of SPUMC - Everyone goes through difficult times.  Having someone to care, to listen, to share God's love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing.

• Employment Network Group is a ministry of Severna Park United Methodist church designed to give those who are searching for a vocation and those willing to help them a roundtable forum to discuss their situations. In addition to the roundtable format the group has a speaker each week and serves as a clearing house for a variety of resources. This networking group is open to anyone, you do not have to be a member of our church to participate. They meet each Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM in Room 203.
