Prayer Shawl Ministry ~ August 20, 2008
The prayer shawl ministry will
meet in room 302 from 1-3 pm. Looking for someone to teach you knitting
and crocheting? Come join us and we will be glad to teach you.
5TH Day Luncheon ~ August 22, 2008
Due to the busy summer schedule
and extra activities at church, Some 5th Day Luncheons have been
cancelled. We will not have a July luncheon. Instead we will try for a
4th Friday in August. This will be August the 22nd at Hellas
Restaurant on Veterans Highway. Look for a sign-up sheet in
the Fellowship Hall on August 3rd, 10th, and 17th.
Fifth Day Luncheons are for all church members, friends, neighbors, and

for the summer and resume their Prayer Breakfast on Saturday,
September 13 at 7:30a.m.
The subject for discussion
will be Chapter Fifteen of "Man in the Mirror". The cost for
breakfast is 5.00. Come and Bring a friend. Join in even if you
haven't participated in the book study.

Care For The Caregiver
Workshop ~ November 8,

On November 8, 2008,
Severna Park United Methodist Church will be hosting a free
workshop, “Care for the Care Giver”, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This
workshop is to show our appreciation to those dedicated persons in
our community who give so unselfishly and freely of their time,
energy, and love to ensure that that special someone receives all
the care and attention needed to have a good quality of life.
We would like to invite any current care givers and any persons who
have been care givers to come and share their experiences as we can
learn from one another and realize that we are not alone on this
path of life. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of sincere
sanctuary and YES to even pamper these wonderful people for a few
hours so that they may be refreshed and refilled to continue their
