SOUPER BOWL of CARING after all three Worship services
The Souper Bowl of Caring utilizes Super Bowl
weekend in America to mobilize young people to fight hunger and poverty
in their local communities. Its vision is to transform Super Bowl
weekend into America's largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving.
Look for our MYF members at the doors with soup pots after each worship
service. We only ask $1.00 per person and all offerings will go to
local hunger projects.

(Homestead) Unit at Genesis HealthCare on Truck House Road.
Beth will make a presentation then take questions you may have;
resources included. Just to give us an idea of numbers, we
invite you to sign up in Fellowship Hall. Friends and neighbors
welcome!

MOPs (Mother's of Preschoolers) is geared towards
meeting the needs of all Mothers from pregnancy to kindergarten. MOPs is an international program
which focuses on support, resourcing, and fellowship for Mothers in a
faith-based environment. If you are a Mother who fits this criteria you
are encouraged you to join this new group! It will offer you a place of
mutual support and a caring Christian community in the midst of your
busy life which can sometimes feel overwhelming and isolating. Our
first MOPS session will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 7 PM in
room 302. We will meet twice a month! Come join us for fellowship and

UMM TRIP
Udvar-Hazy Annex of the National Air & Space Museum
The men of the church are invited by SPUMC Methodist
Men for a trip to the Udvar-Hazy Annex of the National Air & Space
Museum, located near Dulles Airport. This annex is a huge 10 story
complex of enclosed hangers with unbelievable collection of air & space
manned and unmanned crafts, to include SR-71A Blackbird spy plane, Space
Shuttle Enterprise, and Concorde. As a special treat, Dave Chaffee (our
trip coordinator) has lined up, as our tour guide/docent, his uncle who
is a former Navy & commercial airline pilot and now volunteers at the
museum. The plan is to have our regularly scheduled UMM 2nd
Saturday breakfast on March 10th at 8:00am and then carpool at 9:00am to

Church? Are you interested in knowing more the ministries of the
church and what it means to be a church member? If so, you are
invited to attend a Connections Luncheon. At these gatherings,
you will meet and talk with pastors and church leaders, find out
about some of the ministries of the church, and learn what it
means to become a church member. Although attending a
Connections Luncheon does not obligate you to join the church,
you may join the church after attending. Upcoming Connections
Luncheons dates are November 13, January 22, March 11, April 29
from 12:30-2:30 pm. Childcare will be provided. Contact Pastor

The Learn and Share Circle of
UMW is sponsoring a bus trip to the Sight and Sound Millennium
Theatre in Strasburg, PA. to see "Jonah." This is a brand
new, Biblical production featuring breathtaking effects and powerful
themes of love, mercy, obedience, and second chances. After the show,
enjoy dinner at the Best Western Eden Resort, with your choice of
