time than you once did, and
you’d like to use some of that time
in fellowship with others in
our church?
XYZ (eXtra Years
of Zest) is celebrating 20 years of fun and fellowship
together in March 2012. This presents a perfect opportunity
to reflect on how to meet the interests and needs of these
vital people in our church: those with some free time to
meet about once a month for yummy food and fun with a focus
on fellowship among the faithful. Twenty years ago the XYZ
group began as people who were faithful to the teachings of
Christ with a goal of sharing fellowship with fellow
believers. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of this
group, we seek to instill new life and energy into it by
refocusing on interests, needs, and opportunities.

First, we
have a new name to represent this direction: FALL, Faithful
Adults Loving Life. Second, the year’s activities are being
planned to include many interests and activity levels so
that this group may become invigorated by the faithful
participation of a larger group of interested people.

Come to the Fellowship Hall on Monday,
January 23th at 12:30 and enjoy a spaghetti lunch followed
by an ice cream social. We hope all XYZers will plan to
attend, and ACTIVELY search for others in our church who
would join them in this inaugural meeting of FALL.
At this luncheon, our NEW focus and
plans for the coming year will be discussed. We would love
to get your ideas and input. A signup sheet will be in
Fellowship Hall beginning January 1, 2012.
