PRAYER & PRAISE GATHERING

"Where two or more are gathered in My Name, there am I in the midst."

Every Tuesday night at 7 pm, a group of people gather in the sanctuary at SPUMC to pray for each other, families, teens, friends, and anyone else who needs prayer in their lives.  It is a truly unique opportunity to feel comforted through fellowship and caring support from the church community.  Everyone’s lives (the attendees and the recipients) have been touched in some way or another by these prayer and praise meetings.  Along with prayer, we include a reading from the bible and sing a few songs to get us in the spirit too.   

Each week there is a “witness”, often just an ordinary person who talks about how God has helped them in their life with challenges and their faith.  It is a wonderful chance to hear interesting heart felt stories of each individual’s life journey.  We invite you to share your story of your journey…  We all learn so much from each other in this way. 

Feel free to try the Prayer and Praise meeting on Tuesday nights and see for yourself how prayer and fellowship working together really makes a difference and gives us hope and God’s power in our lives.
